We recognize that today’s transition to a new administrator, effective April 1st, resulted in significantly increased demand on both the new MassHealth dental provider portal and customer service center. This demand led to longer-than-usual wait times for obtaining essential information for your daily office operations.
We believe this was a temporary impact limited to the first day of the transition. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Moving forward, both the provider portal and customer service center are fully prepared to assist you with inquiries related to eligibility, claims, prior authorization requests, and more. The portal is now functioning properly and member eligibility can be verified on the portal.
Please note that the following eligibility functions still need to be verified by calling 844-MH-DENTL (844-643-3685) until portal function is enabled:
- To verify treatment history
- To verify eligibility by member name
- To verify eligibility for a past or future date
Please note that additional TPL detail, including past or future TPL dates, and the CMSP $750 annual maximum balance is not currently available on the portal or by phone.
